Missions: Pray

Jul 5, 2026

The enemy wants you to believe your prayers don't work — because the moment you believe that, you stop praying. This message is a call to do the opposite: to keep going.

Every believer has an assignment from God, and there's a real enemy who resists it. But the battle for that assignment isn't won by trying harder — it's won in prayer. Anchored in Jesus' parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18, this message moves from the weight of our past — why you should celebrate the anniversary of your repentance instead of your failure — to prayer as the weapon that tears down strongholds, and finally to a concrete challenge: four specific ways to pray for people carrying the gospel into difficult places, as two Impact Church teams prepare to serve in Kenya and the Dominican Republic. Along the way it lingers on the persistence of Elijah, who kept praying and kept looking for rain until a cloud the size of a hand appeared.
