What we believe
What We Believe
Our beliefs are rooted in the authority of Scripture and shape how we follow Jesus, live our faith, serve others, and fulfill the mission God has given His Church.
01Holy Bible
We believe the Holy Bible is the authoritative Word of God and the final standard for Christian doctrine and truth. The Scriptures were inspired by God and, in their original writings, are infallible and without error.
Scripture
- II Timothy 3:16·
- II Peter 1:20 to 21·
- Proverbs 30:5·
- Romans 16:25 to 26
02Trinity
We believe there is one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, equal in nature and eternally united as one God.
Scripture
- I John 5:7·
- Genesis 1:26·
- Matthew 3:16 to 17·
- Matthew 28:19·
- Luke 1:35·
- Isaiah 9:6·
- Hebrews 3:7 to 11
03Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is God the Son and the second person of the Trinity. He is fully God and fully man. Jesus lived without sin, performed miracles, gave His life on the cross for humanity, shed His blood for the forgiveness of sin, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the Father, and will return again in power and glory.
Scripture
- John 1:1·
- John 1:14·
- John 20:28·
- I Timothy 3:16·
- Isaiah 9:6·

We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. His supernatural conception confirms that He is the Son of God.
Scripture
- Matthew 1:18·
- Matthew 1:25·
- Luke 1:35·
- Isaiah 7:14·
- Luke 1:27 to 35
05Redemption
We believe humanity was created good and upright before God, but sin entered the human experience through voluntary disobedience. Humanity's hope of redemption is found only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Scripture
- Genesis 1:26 to 31·
- Genesis 3:1 to 7·
- Romans 5:12 to 21
06Regeneration

Scripture
- John 6:44·
- John 6:65·
- Matthew 19:28·
- Titus 3:5
07Salvation
We believe salvation comes by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is God's gift and cannot be earned through human effort or good works.
Scripture
- Ephesians 2:8 to 9·
- Galatians 2:16·
- Galatians 3:8·
- Titus 3:5·
- Romans 10:9 to 10·

Scripture
- Acts 2:21·
- Acts 3:19·
- I John 1:9
09Sanctification
We believe sanctification is the continuing work of God in the life of a believer. As Christians yield to Scripture and the Holy Spirit, the character of Christ is increasingly formed within them and they are empowered to live a godly life.
Scripture
- I Thessalonians 4:3·
- I Thessalonians 5:23·
- II Corinthians 3:18·
- II Corinthians 6:14 to 18·
- II Thessalonians 2:1 to 3·
- Romans 8:29·
- Romans 12:1 to 2·
- Hebrews 2:11
10Jesus' Blood
We believe the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross was sinless and completely sufficient for the cleansing of sin. Jesus willingly bore the judgment for humanity's sin so that those who believe in Him can be freed from sin's penalty.

- Revelation 1:5·
- Revelation 5:9·

11Jesus Christ Indwells All Believers
We believe Christians receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and that He lives within believers through the Holy Spirit. Believers surrender their lives to His authority and place their trust in what Jesus accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection.
Scripture
- John 1:12·
- John 14:17·
- John 14:23·
- John 15:4·
- Romans 8:11·

- Matthew 3:11·
- Mark 16:17·

- Acts 19:1 to 6
13The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit works through a variety of spiritual gifts to strengthen and build the Church, demonstrate the reality of Christ's resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. Believers are encouraged to desire spiritual gifts, and every gift must operate in harmony with Scripture and within biblical boundaries.

14The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the dwelling place of God through His Spirit. Every person who has been born of the Spirit belongs to the body of believers. The Church is called to live in spiritual unity and fulfill the Great Commission given by Jesus.

- Ephesians 1:22·

- I Corinthians 10:16·

- Isaiah 53:5·
- Matthew 8:16 to 17·
- Mark 16:17 to 18·

- I Corinthians 12:9·
- I Corinthians 12:28·

17God's Will for Provision
We believe God's desire is for believers to experience wholeness and His provision in every area of life. Because humanity lives in a fallen world, believers may not always experience the fullness of God's provision in this life, but Christians should continue seeking everything Christ has made available so they can live faithfully and serve others.

22Marriage
We believe every person is created in the image of God and that human relationships are intended to reflect God's purposes of love, covenant, fellowship, and faithfulness.
We believe God's design for sexual intimacy is within a lifelong monogamous marriage between one man and one woman. Marriage is a covenant made before God and is presented throughout Scripture as a picture of God's covenant relationship with His people. We also believe this covenant relationship provides God's intended context for the birth and raising of children.
